Grandpa Zhang is an old man I met in San yi li. He grew up in a remote village and later worked as a correspondent on the sea. Now retired, his life is simple and full of interest. This documentary began in mid-May 2019, and is still ongoing.

张爷爷是我在三益里认识的一位老爷爷。他从农村长大，后来在海上当通讯员。如今，他早已退休，生活简单，也充满情趣。影像素材集中拍摄于2019年五月中下旬。

*2019年9月至2021年5月期间，我前往美国交流，2019年12月末，寒假中的我回国后看望了爷爷两次，1月启程再次前往美国。后来因为新冠疫情的影响，以及我个人的错误选择，直至两年后的2021年8月我才终于重回上海，而影片或许就此戛然而止。
